Laveda Jones Productions - Mission, Vision, Core Values, and Beliefs

Laveda Jones Productions Vision

We aim to create a musical movement similar to the Grunge era in the 90's that knocked hair and glam metal to the dirt. Our targeted casualty, Electronic Dance Music (EDM).  We want to bring real music back with instrumentation and genuine heart-felt expression, not lame autotuned delivery void of any real message. Let’s get everyone back in the clubs, dancing and interacting again, and out of the post-pandemic isolation slump.  The movement is more than just music but a cry by young people, teens and college students, to demand representation for their rights for factual information that will affect their rite of passage and future in society. As young people, they should be respected and given the truth of the real world, and not a self-contained kaleidoscope of right-winged ideology. Young folks need to know both sides of issues in the world and not just the side that is convenient for their parents and their outdated beliefs.

“We need to know the truth!" Education is the single most important right by everyone and that is being hoarded, just like wealth, and filtered by a right-wing coalition. The reality is that those with a privileged edge - white evangelicals, wealthy families, private school educated, and real estate and asset owners - feel threatened by social equality mechanisms, wokeness, and diversity programs. They paint these devices with a misleading evil brush to protect their fortunes, whether financial or knowledge based.  The truth is, none of their claims are threatened and our education is at stake because of it.   This is not fair to young people who are already taking advantage of a truly threatened institution, which is public education. Considered as socialist by the MAGA movement who are already pushing "school choice", which is nothing but a disguise for bolstering private school and religious institution wealth, and in no way benefits students other than to further divide the social gap end temper their awareness.  Don’t ever let somebody convince you that religion and social justice are mutually exclusive.  Religion “is” social justice.  We are not against religion, just weaponized religion (i.e. white Christian nationalists).

Make no mistake, we at Laveda Jones Productions do not advocate socialism or welfare dependence.  We push for a level playing field. All youth should be respected, by their peers, parents, teachers, and those that claim to support them in Washington D. C.  Our music is meant to give strength to these movements and give youth a voice. Yes, we touch on sensitive topics and use explicit lyrics, but guess what, this is real life, and it should not be watered down, sugar-coated, and skewed.  We do not believe in harming others and our music does not harm, but rather educates.    You will hear that our music is liberal garbage pushing socialist ideas, but make no mistake, the liberal garbage they demonize, is simply “truth” about them and their harmful agenda masqueraded as “family values”, “faith”, and “rights”.

If you come from a religious background, we totally respect that, but we do not support and urge you not to fall victim to self-righteousness, for religious doctrine is meant to be parabolic, allegorical, and therefore  interpretable.  There are no such things as absolutes, and those that are constantly looking to criticize and judge in the name of religion - fellow church goers, politicians, or even some pastors - are sitting in the wrong seat.  We are not anti-religion, but we are suspect to organized religion and dogma which is from man-made.  We also disagree with politics in the church or aligned with Christian principles.

We want to reach those that are targets and potential targets of this new radical right movement.  Youth are in the crosshairs.  If the Department of Education is dissolved,  your academic future and current state is at risk. What will happen to the scholarship programs that DoE funds, the special needs programs, disability funding, etc. College will simply be further out of reach for many students.  School loans are already like Russian roulette.  Drop out or have to rely on those funds for emergencies and you will become a prisoner for life to your loan with no relief in sight.  Even those that graduate are struggling to pay back the ballooned interest.  Buying a house is elusive for young adults and families.  The hardest hit will be the inner cities as funding gets pulled out of school programs for simple things such as heating and air, safe facilities, and student gang safety.  We explore the ugliness of this and other topics by speaking from reality with the same voice.  As Tupac Shakur put it in the biopic, "You gotta enter somebody’s world in order to lead them out”.

Our music packs a punch because the youth need a powerful voice, not a week one that loses elections, debates, public discourse, and gets ridiculed with childish tactics. Our brand serves as an outlet for youth to empower them to stand above the rest in their lives and social interactions.  Bullying and gangs are a fact of life. It happens in school and believe it or not, in adulthood, just in a more subtle yet often polished way.  We want to give strength to all youth through education of sensitive subjects that are not taught in school. Youth power is the tool and our music provides that, not only in feeling, but also in thought. Everyone wants to find love and friendship, graduate high school, go to college, and use their education to become successful in life. Our program, music, message, "How to" videos are your secret sauce to get ahead in all these areas. Granted, we get daily pressure in regard to censorship, subject matter strikes, hate mail and comments, and what right wing labels of liberal garbage.  But you as a teen or young adult deserve to know why you are being barred from an understanding that you deserve to know. You are old enough to make your own choices and not have them made for you by your parents or by the government. We are all about the right of choice and if our values do not align with yours, we embrace that. But you deserve to understand both sides, and hopefully enjoy our music, concerts, and content.
